Through the generosity of over 100 supporters we purchased the Chai House in early April 2025.
Since then we have invested over $160,000 into the property in cleaning, repairing, painting and upgrading both buildings and the courtyard. This marks the completion of phase one of our vision.
YJP is now hosting events at the Chai House 3-5 times weekly; we are renting the 87 house and offices as income generators; there is a kosher venue rental option; and we are hosting cross-community events with partner organizations such as BBYO and IAC.
We have an active wishlist of renovation projects, both large and small, as well as interior and exterior furnishings, and we are steadily implementing these improvements as funding becomes available. At the same time, we are prioritizing paying down the remaining debt on the property.
